Description

For the ultimate in privacy, security, and durability, Slat Depot’s™ patent pending SoliTube Slat™ is the premier option for chain link enhancement products. Each bag contains 82 slats and covers up to 10 linear feet. Also, included in each bag are 3 Viper Channel™ pieces 42” in length (allowing for 10’ of coverage with 6” for spare). And as with our other quality products, the SoliTube Slat™ also comes with an industry leading, limited 30-Year prorated warranty. These double-wall, slats with privacy fins on each side, come in a variety of standard colors.

MATERIALS

The body of the SoliTube Slat™ is made with high-density polyethylene (HDPE), color pigments, and ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors specifically designed to retard the harmful effects of the sun and lengthen the life of the product. The privacy fins of the slat are made with a soft, flexible rubber type of material which is commonly used in the automotive industry. This material (TPE) is also infused with color pigments and ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors for durability and protection from the sun.

SIZE

Each slat measures approximately 1 – 7/16” inches wide with the length being approximately 3” shorter than the overall height of the fence (e.g. 6’ slats are 69”). These vertical privacy inserts add from 90% to 100% privacy to regular 2” diamond, 9-gauge chain link fabric. They also work with 11-gauge chain link fabric. The diamond is measured from inside to inside of each parallel side. The larger the diamond, the less privacy achieved.

INSTALLATION

Installation of SoliTube Slats™ is very simple and requires no special tools. The slats easily slide down vertically through the chain link and rest in the Viper Channel™ Locking System. This ensures the slats remain even and secure for years to come. Each package includes 3 Viper Channel™ pieces 42” in length, allowing for 10’ of coverage with 6” for spare. These channels are attached together with an ‘orange’ ribbon, which extends out the end of the bag for easy retrieval. See the installation diagram below:
Step 1: Insert the Viper Channel™ horizontally in first full diamond at bottom of fence with open side facing up. Step 2: Insert Solitube Slats™ downward. Apply pressure to slat as the fins intersect the knuckles and sets into the Viper Channel. Step 3: Press Solitube Slat securely into the Viper Channel (note the slate does not lock into the channel). The Solitube Slats will be snug in the wire, so the Viper Channel is simply used to prevent any slat from slipping down over time.
